The „EU-MiCare“ Project is excited to announce its upcoming hybrid EU-Symposium, organised by Ethno-Medizinisches Zentrum e.V. , titled “Toward inclusive mental health care for migrants and refugees”.
The symposium will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, between 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM at Refugio (Lenaustraße 3, Berlin-Neukölln). A livestream will also be available.
The symposium addresses psychosocial healthcare for refugees and migrants, highlighting current challenges and the important contribution of the EU-MiCare project.
Experts and stakeholders from various EU countries will come together to exchange good practices and discuss strategies for inclusive psychosocial care for refugees and migrants. Invited speakers include Prof. Renos Papadopoulos, founder and director of the Centre for Trauma, Asylum and Refugees at the University of Essex, and Jenny Baron from the Federal Association of Psychosocial Centres in Germany (BAfF e.V.), as well as other experts from research and practice.
In addition, the symposium offers the EU-MiCare team the opportunity to present the online training developed within the project as well as the first results of the pilot phase.
You will find the program here and on the project website. The symposium will be held in English, as our EU-MiCare project partners from Greece, Italy, Spain, and Cyprus will be participating.
We would be very pleased to welcome you to the symposium in person or online!
