Syn-eirmos NGO of Social Solidarity (Babel Day Centre) and Velos Youth are pleased to invite you to the Final Event of the project “Don’t Close Your Eyes”, which will take place on Friday, 20 March 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, at the “Antonis Tritsis” Amphitheatre of the Cultural Center of theMunicipality of Athens, 50 Akademias Street.
The project “Don’t Close Your Eyes” focuses on awareness-raising initiatives with young refugee men on the prevention and combat of gender-based violence, and is implemented within the framework of the European programme PREVENT (Preventing Gender-BasedViolence and Violence Against Children).
During the event, the mentors who participated in the project, all young men of refugee background, will present the initiatives they developed and share their personal experiences from their involvement in the project, opening an important conversation about the role young people can play in preventing gender-based violence.
The event is going to be conducted in English.
Following the presentations, a light lunch will be offered, creating an opportunity for informal discussion and networking between professionals and the young mentors who tookpart in the project.
