Babel / Networking:
Since its opening, Babel has developed numerous activities in line with the Centre’s mission, often in cooperation with organisations from the state, the local government, and the non-profit sector.
Indicatively, some of the activities developed and/or attended by Babel concern the following:
Organisation and implementation of integrated interventions in the community
Integrated responses to multiple and complex customer needs (through the creation of ‘client-centred networks’)
Sensitisation/ training of professionals and the community
Common policy actions
Know-how exchange
Inter-professional counseling
Participation in the development of collective actions
Consultation with state and non-state actors
During its years of operation, Babel has collaborated with various organisations, universities and specialised centres, both abroad and in Greece, aiming at the exchange of know-how and the joint production and promotion of knowledge on issues related to the mental health of migrants.
It is worth noting that more than 200 organisations/bodies have been mobilised by the interdisciplinary team of Babel to respond to and meet the needs of the Centre’s beneficiaries (e.g. with regards to living conditions, housing, clothing, nutrition, health, education, employment and leisure).
